Fatoumata Kane is an expert in International Development with more than 15 years of experience in the field of Transitional Justice, peacebuilding, and human rights. She previously worked as a Program Specialist with the United Nations Development Programme Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (New York) and the UNDP Country Office for Mali (2008-2012). She played a leading role in designing and implementing crisis prevention and recovery programs in countries including Mali, Chad, Guinea, Burundi, and Democratic Republic of Congo. She has also worked for the European Union Delegation in Mali, the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) as Human Rights Adviser, and for non-governmental organizations such as Handicap International.
