Hermann-Grima + Gallier Historic Houses

Grima + Gallier Historic Houses preserve two 19th-century French Quarter homes in New Orleans and use their architecture, collections, and history to prompt inquiry and inspire discourse about our collective past and its effects on our present and future. The Houses provide diverse learning opportunities to explore subjects such as the lives of the Houses’ owners and enslaved people, open-hearth cooking, mourning practices, and the entrepreneurial pursuits of women living and working contrary to social norms.
