As the communications assistant, Kassidy works closely with Director of Communications, Ashely Nelson, to promote communication between the Coalition, its members, and the general public.
Kassidy recently graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with her Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Art History. During her junior year, she wrote a thesis entitled “Media Coverage of Police Brutality: A Case Study of Adama Traore,” which examined newspaper coverage of a Black man in Paris who died in police custody and how it relates to the perception of people of color in France.
