Corporación de Memoria y Cultura Puchuncaví promotes a culture of human rights towards Chilean society, through the rescue and enhancement of the history and memory of cultural practices developed in the Melinka – Puchuncavi political prisoner camp.
The organization seeks to generate knowledge about socio-political, individual and collective memories in relation to human rights abuses given in the camp during the military dictatorship of Chile (1973-1990.)
Today, Melinka-Puchuncavi is a National Monument and a Site of Memory in Chile.
