Egypt Forum for Youth and Development

The Egypt Forum for Youth and Development’s vision is to see empowered women, youth and teens living in a just and equal Egyptian society where they enjoy all of their human rights. EFYD is an Egyptian, feminist, non-governmental organization that works to protect and promote women’s and youth human rights within the framework of international human rights mechanisms and standards. Through monitoring, documentation, and advocacy at the local and international levels, EFYD provides social and legal services to women victims and teens of violence and those whose human rights have been violated. They increase awareness, advocacy, training, and legal reform programmes to advance gender equality and aim to develop the capacity of grassroots organizations and volunteer groups.
